MMD, brand license partner for Philips displays, and display manufacturer AOC, today announced the signing of a distribution deal with Redington Gulf for Saudi Arabia market.

Under the contract, Redington Gulf will distribute Philips and AOC display products in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

"After spending time reviewing our distribution network and analysing our potential growth markets, we have gone ahead and signed Redington Gulf to promote our range of AOC and Philips displays throughout Saudi Arabia," said Vineeth Sebastian, regional sales director, MEA, MMD and AOC.

"We chose to work with Redington Gulf, because we feel our company principles are the same. We have an individual approach to every customer, with responsiveness and flexibility in our day-to-day operations."

MMD cited Redington's duration of presence in Saudi Arabia and the distributor's channel reach as key factors influencing the selection.

According to Thomas Schade, vice president, EMEA, MMD and AOC, the goal of the partnership is to establish long-term relationships with customers as well as the company's distributors.

"We were looking for a reputable company who have great contacts and who we could work with on an exclusive basis to strengthen the Philips and AOC display brands within the territory," he said.

"After meeting with the Redington Gulf team on a number of occasions, I believe they are the perfect fit."

Redington Gulf will focus on industry verticals such as SMB, corporate and retail, in addition to expanding its channel partner base in Saudi Arabia.

"We are upbeat about this new development," said Ashish Bharti, president, Redington Gulf.

"Our new relationship with AOC and MMD will not only bolster our product offerings, but will also open new business avenues. [It] will also give us access to a different channel segment in Saudi Arabia."
