MoF has launched its new smart applications at the federal e-Government’s booth this week. During GITEX TECHNOLOGY WEEK, the Ministry will showcase the latest adopted e-systems at MoF, which have been classified into three main categories.

The first is ‘Staff Programmes’. This category features five systems relating to management, operations performance index, employee duties and managing questionnaires. The second category, ‘Government Programmes’, consists of six systems covering the following areas: requests for federal financial support systems, financial federal system, the preparation of the UAE’s budget system, government financial statistics reports, intelligent reporting systems and the financial and accounting procedures manual system of the federal government.

The third category, ‘Public and Customer Programmes’, will include the tax and e-Dirham systems. MoF placed its e-Dirham as the main government sponsor of the event and the exclusive registration sponsor for the activities  being held at this year’s GITEX.

Commenting on MoF’s participation in GITEX Technology Week 2013, HE Younis Haji Al Khouri, Undersecretary of MoF, emphasises the Ministry’s efforts in strengthening the capacity of its e-systems in line with the world’s latest government resource management systems.

He says: “GITEX Technology Week offers MoF a chance to educate those interested in  electronic development in the public and private sectors and highlight the Ministry’s ability to support the government’s smart initiative, which was launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai. This demonstrates MoF’s commitment to developing the e-Dirham system and our desire to establish it as one of the leading e-systems in the region.”
