Business security solutions provider WatchGuard Technologies, Inc is set to promote its Data Loss Prevention Solution for Unified Threat Management at this year's GITEX TECHNOLOGY WEEK.

WatchGuard's solutions combine industry-standard hardware, security features, and policy-based management tools. Its family of firewalls provides smart security through seamless integration of multiple security services; smart management by providing a single console for deploying and maintaining services; and smart Unified Threat Management performance.

Additionally, WatchGuard has recently partnered with NCP Engineering to collaborate and offer Premium IPsec VPN Client. According to WatchGuard, Microsoft Windows and Apple OS X users will be able to set up one-click remote VPN access and reduce administrator setup with the new technology.

WatchGuard has also launched two new Wireless Access Point products, providing businesses with the same level of security for their Wireless Local Access Network (WLAN) traffic that they rely on for their traditional wired traffic, thereby offering a means to manage the bring-your-own-device (BYOD) trend.

WatchGuard recently opened a new office in Dubai, in a bid to expand its presence in the region.

"The Middle East is a key growth area for us and it's an important time for WatchGuard to be cementing relationships and expanding partnerships," said John Spoor, regional manager, MEA, WatchGuard Technologies.

"We want to have partners throughout the region, on the ground, to provide our customers the solutions that they need to secure their businesses. During GITEX, WatchGuard is looking to expand the brand presence, increase our channel partner base, and of course, meet with new customer prospects."
