Avaya is demonstrating its support for Dubai’s Smart Government initiative this year, especially in the areas of service provision via networking, video, unified communications, collaboration, and the encouragement of SME growth. At GITEX TECHNOLOGY WEEK, the company hopes to show how Avaya is helping pioneer mobile government through its existing relationships with key government entities.

“These include the Dubai Police, the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA), and Dubai Municipality, and Avaya will showcase how communications infrastructure capability helps them and other Dubai government bodies realise successful mobile services to key audiences,” says Nidal Abou-Ltaif, VP, Middle East, Africa & The Mediterranean, Avaya.

“Unified communications, video-enabled contact centres, collaboration tools, and support for Dubai’s growing SME community are critical elements to the success of the Smart Government initiative, and Avaya will highlight these solutions over the course of the week.”

Avaya will also highlight its solutions’ ability to meet the requirements of businesses of all sizes in the Middle East. There will be a specific focus on SMEs and displays showcasing the Avaya Middle East, Africa and Turkey Training Centre in Dubai Silicon Oasis (DSO), which is open and is this year enabling 1000+ new trainees to graduate. Avaya says GITEX provides it with an opportunity to showcase how its innovations in collaboration and communications are valuable to customers of all sizes.

In addition to seeking out new customer leads, the show gives Avaya a forum to interact directly with current partners, and communicate its abilities in the fields of unified communication, collaboration and contact centres.
