ManageEngine to launch Analyzer updates at eCrime Manoharan: Securing networks from evolving, sophisticated threats is the top priority for organisations in the Middle East today.

Real-time IT management company ManageEngine has announced that it will unveil the latest version of its Firewall Analyzer and EventLog Analyzer at eCrime Congress, the IT security forum to be held at Westin Abu Dhabi Golf Resort & Spa, Abu Dhabi on 11 September.

A networking sponsor of the event, ManageEngine announced it would also demonstrate the latest enhancements to its IT security suite, which covers the implementation of control processes, auditing of security events and policy compliance support.

Digital security companies are increasingly operating under the assumption that IT organisations in the Middle East are seeking ways to tackle escalating regional cyber threats without stretching IT budgets.

"The traditional security solutions in the market, which are expensive, deal with either information silos or lousy integrations, which lead to inadequate security insight, heavy implementation and maintenance cycles and steep learning curves," ManageEngine argues.

"Securing networks from evolving, sophisticated threats is the top priority for organisations in the Middle East today. IT teams look for robust, affordable solutions that help unify security and gain real-time visibility," said Nirmal Manoharan, regional director of sales at ManageEngine.

"The latest enhancements to our security suite help our customers get holistic, real-time insights on their IT security and help track suspicious user activities, non-business network traffic and thwart security breaches," he added.

Firewall Analyzer is described as an "agent-less log, analytics and configuration management solution for network security devices". It is used for end-point security monitoring and analysis, change management, employee Internet monitoring, bandwidth monitoring, capacity planning, policy enforcement, and security and compliance audit reporting. The solution is designed to be vendor agnostic and is said to support "almost all open-source and commercial network firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, proxies and related security devices".

The latest enhancement of Firewall Analyzer includes a used and unused policies report to spot unattended security holes for Cisco and Fortigate perimeter devices and a geo-location maps view to find country-wise or device-specific security and traffic information.
