Sony’s new Xperia Z LTE Sony Smartphone is now available in the UAE from telecom operator du for AED2,349.

The Xperia Z LTE device features a 5-inch full HD 1080p Reality Display, Snapdragon S4 Pro quad-core processor, the Mobile BRAVIA Engine 2 and a 13-megapixel fast-capture camera.

Available in black and white, Xperia Z LTE runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean), which will be upgraded to 4.2 shortly after launch.

Customers who buy the device with any monthly plan from du, including Smart Plan, Emirati or Elite Super Plan, will receive a discount of AED 470, 10GB of data every month for a year and a Sony headset.

Ruediger Odenbach, vice president, Sony Mobile Communications Middle East and Africa, said that the new Xperia Z LTE had “exceeded all sales expectations” in the Middle East and internationally following the launch of the original version of the device at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas at the start of the year.

Fahad Al Hassawi, chief commercial officer, du, said: “With the Smartphone Festival, we are leading the way with smartphone offers combined with the best plans and data benefits to suit today’s lifestyles.”
