Noor Islamic Bank (Noor) is using Apple iPads at six of its branches in the UAE, to educate its customers on the benefits of its online banking services.

The latest generation iPads are in use at branches in Dubai, Sharjah and Abu Dhabi, with staff on hand to demonstrate Noor's online and mobile banking services, with the aim of increasing customer adoption.

John Chang, Head of Retail Banking at Noor said: "Online and mobile banking is convenient, easy to use and secure. We believe that our future customers will want to bank with us when they want, where they want and how they want. Digital banking is the future and we are determined to be at the forefront of the biggest change in banking since the introduction of ATMs."

To support its online banking drive, Noor has launched two special offers - free bank account opening with no balance requirement and 5% cash back with credit cards applied for online.

Noor was the first bank in the UAE to offer mobile internet banking in the Arabic language, and was also the first Islamic bank to offer an online account opening service.
