Autodesk brings interior design app to Google and iOS
Homestyler interior design app now available for mobile platforms
Autodesk has released versions of its Homestyler interior design application for iOS and Android.
The free online home design software, which was first launched in 2010, allows home users to experiment with interior design, including combining 3D models of products from popular brands with photos of their interior spaces, so they can see how they would look in their home, and to create 3D models and floorplans of their home.
The Homestyler app allows designers to better communicate their design ideas and reach decisions faster in expressing their vision for their home or office whether playing with new paint colours or viewing 3D models of furniture within the space. High quality models of products from leading brands B&B Italia, Jonathan Adler and Sherwin-Williams are available for the app.
"We've taken home design to a new level of ease with the availability of Homestyler for both iOS and Android device users. The app is unique because it can transform a single snapshot into a virtual home design playground," said Samir Hanna, vice president of Consumer Products, Autodesk. "Extending this technology lets our users express their creativity on the go, tap the existing vibrant community to find inspiration for their home and showcase their personal style with greater ease than ever before."
"The Homestyler app lets users tap into more than 1,500 Sherwin-Williams colors for inspiration as they create their perfect space," added Jackie Jordan, director of colour marketing, Sherwin-Williams. "Colour is a critical element of design and the new iOS and Android versions of the app is a great way to explore the impact of different hues and the relationship between wall colours and furnishings."
The Homestyler app is available from the Apple App Store, Google Play or http://www.homestyler.com/.
