What is your current role in the ICT industry in the Middle East and what are your responsibilities?
As channel director for Epicor in the Middle East, Africa & India, I am responsible for the overall channel development strategy and the go-to-market activities for Epicor.

What do you love about your job?
My people — it is inspiring to see our team fix business issues for customers, delivering real business value and having the flexibility to make local decisions that often have a significant global impact. We constantly deal with new and evolving challenges. There is a deep sense of satisfaction and fulfillment when we work together as a team and successfully develop innovative solutions that satisfy customer needs.

How innovative do you think the network industry in the Middle East is?
Innovation within the network industry in the Middle East is at very nascent stage. Much work needs to be done to reach a stage where we see major innovation and ideas. The best way to change this is by investing in human resources to encourage innovation and skills development.

What are the upcoming trends or products in your sector?
Some of the technologies that are generating strong interest in the region are cloud-based solutions and real-time analytics for specific industry functionality, with inbuilt business process and workflow on ‘the fly’. This trend is creating exciting new possibilities for real-time analysis in a wide range of available business applications.

Does Epicor have green initiatives?
Our products enable our clients to reduce their carbon footprint and energy consumption by measuring and monitoring various matrices. We actively introduce green initiatives within the company, including energy-saving programmes, and regularly support various environmental campaigns.

Are you a BYOD user and what devices do you use?
Yes I am a BYOD user. I use a Blackberry and HTC smart phone.

What are your ‘out of office’ hobbies?
I have a passion for innovative technology so I spend a lot of my time reading different books, magazines, blogs, as well as using new technology. In my leisure time, I love to play tennis and squash.
