OK, I know what you're thinking. It is only August and we're already asking you to think about the CommsMEA Awards, which takes place on December 4.

That seems like a long time away, but in fact it's far from being too early to start thinking about your nominations for the awards, for several reasons. Firstly, if you want your company to enter the awards, the date you need to keep in mind is the nominations deadline, which is October 3.

While the summer months might feel a bit slow compared to the rest of the year, now is the right time to start thinking about your nominations and to discuss the event with your colleagues, because before you know it, after the Eid holiday, the month of September will be fast approaching. And that means that there will be just six weeks left to prepare your awards entries!

So please, without wanting to become repetitive, if you are interested in entering the CommsMEA Awards - and I'm sure you are - please kick-start the process now to ensure that you have a nomination that you are proud of, and that stands a fighting chance of winning.

The good news is that entering the awards is easy. Just visit our dedicated awards website at: http://www.commsmea.com/awards/ and click on the "Nominations" tab at the top of the screen. On the right hand side you should now see three tabs: Entry Guidelines, Awards Categories and Submit Nominations. Please read each of these sections to familiarise yourself with the awards, the different categories of award, and the nominations process.

Each nomination should be about 500 words in length. This means you must be clear and concise, and get straight to the point about why your company deserves to win. On top of the 500-word entry, you can also send supporting documents, such as marketing material, to the email address provided in the Entry Guidelines section. I recommend that you draft your nomination on a Word document, and then when you are ready, and have registered or logged in under the "Submit Nominations" section, you can paste your entry into the relevant field when prompted by the "Submit Nomination" process.
