Smartphone maker HTC Corporation today announced new content partnerships, recently signed with Al Arabiya, Reuters, Al Jazeera and, which will allow Middle East content from the news outlets to stream onto HTC Blinkfeed.

HTC has marketed Blinkfeed as the stand-out feature of its One range of smartphones. The application is designed to aggregate up-to-the minute, user-relevant content and display it on the handset's home screen to form a live information stream.

According to HTC the four recently signed content providers join more than 1,400 partners currently registered with Blinkfeed.

"We are very pleased to have established these content partnerships, and are excited to provide premium content to our customers throughout the Middle East region," said Doran Davies, director of products, Middle East and Africa, HTC.

"Think of Blinkfeed as your own personal newspaper delivered to you when and where you want.  Given the success of the HTC One and Blinkfeed, we will further extend these partnerships to include new and exciting content."
