What is your current role in the ICT industry in the Middle East?

My role at Visionaire is to provide participative leadership and excellence value delivery in leading a team of subject matter experts who cover deep domain knowledge in the whole spectrum of ICT design, build and managed services domains.

What do you love about your job?

Visionaire’s CEO, Aneeta Gupta has installed the belief in us, that real success is achieved only when we are able to bring great ideas to reality using technology as the enabler. At Visionaire I have the freedom to achieve my best by working passionately on great ideas that have become great realities.

How innovative do you think the regional network  industry is?

The Middle East network industry needs to improve significantly to work for the customer’s business objectives and not the vendor’s objectives. We also need to rationalise the use of flood cabling and 100% port activation strategies, which in today’s wireless world do little to bring benefit to the customer and is possibly the very worst green strategy for the ICT industry.

What are the upcoming trends in the technology sector?

We are part of a global industry and the significant trends that are coming in are cloud, mobility, network convergence and communication, and collaboration. Visionaire’s Technomics model calls these the 4Cs of CIOs’ 'SUCCCCESS'.

Does your company have any green initiatives?

In 2010, Visionaire was awarded the design and build contract for the Masdar Institute of Science and Technology.  Our strategy for this project was to provide the greenest capability within the technology infrastructure of that time – from converged cabling to intelligent passive networks, green data centre and energy efficient end user computing, virtualisation platforms etc.  Since then we have evolved to being able to provide a complete energy management solution to our clients. In 2012 we were awarded the Middle East Green Data Centre Award.

What are your out of office hobbies?

You will find it amusing.  I enjoy catching up on my sleep, and working to manage a good work-life balance are important priorities for me.  I enjoy spending time with my family, leisure reading and also indulging my passion for wheels.
