Etisalat, the UAE's incumbent telecom operator, has opened a new outlet in Dubai.

The outlet, which is located at Dubai Municipality-AlManara Centre, on Sheikh Zayed Road, provides a "wide spectrum of services" including fixed-line, mobile and Internet services, the telco said.

Located opposite Noor Islamic Bank metro station on Sheikh Zayed Road, AlManara Centre offers various government services including DEWA, RTA and Ejari, providing significant footfall for the Etisalat outlet.

Telcos in the Gulf are increasingly looking at their high street presence to boost services and differentiate from rivals. Earlier in the month, Etisalat's UAE competitor, du, partnered with Apple Inc to open Apple-branded stores inside the telco's own retail outlets.

In Saudi Arabia, mobile operator Mobily, recently opened three new outlets in Jeddah and Dammam.
