In a bid to strengthen its offerings in managed services, Dubai-based telecom operator du announced the launch of IT Management as a Service.

IT Management services account for more than 30% of the overall IT budgets for corporate bodies, according to du.  The global market for IT management automation (remote infrastructure management) is predicted to continue growing in the next few years.

Du's solution delivers a cloud-based IT management and helpdesk service delivered on a pay-as-you-use model. The solution provides features such as proactive system monitoring, patch management, disaster recovery, IT auditing, IT policy management and antivirus management.

"A growing business cannot afford to have downtime and does not have time to spend significantly on ensuring proper maintenance of its network," said Hatem Bamatraf, executive vice president, Enterprise Business, du, announcing the launch of the service in partnership with IT Max Global.

"There is a growing realisation in the market about the benefits of a managed client-server network, but enough attention is not being paid to the maintenance aspect of such solutions. Our IT Management as a Service is a complete solution that ensures regular monitoring of the systems and proactive prevention of issues before they even occur. This lets businesses focus on what's most important: their core business.

"We believe Kaseya's best-of-breed IT Management solutions coupled with the experience of IT Max Global in delivering these solutions is a powerful combination to provide a superior user experience to our business customers."

"Through our association with du, we look forward to providing reliable, secure, and cost-effective, 24/7/365 remote IT Management Services for both enterprises and small businesses," said Naji Salameh, managing director of IT Max Global.

"Our expertise in IT services frees up enterprise customers from having to worry about the different aspects of effective IT Management and eliminates unnecessary distractions and expenses allowing customers to focus on their core business."

"Kaseya is delighted to have been selected as the framework that will support du's project to deliver IT Management Services to its customers. It is an outstanding opportunity to work with a leading operator in this region that truly understands the value and benefits of providing an automated managed service to its customers" said Jon McNerney, executive vice president for EMEA Sales, Kaseya.

The service offerings of the solution are scalable and range from routine system maintenance to complete IT Management services, encompassing troubleshooting, performance tuning, patch management, spyware, virus protection, backup and disaster recovery.
