Luxury retailer Paris Gallery has launched a new integrated unified communications system, which will enable better communications among its employees and improve customer services.

The PG Connect solution was developed by the retailer along with Avaya and Eutech Cybernetic, to bring a multi-functional communications network to connect employees, franchisees and stakeholders.

The PG Connect platform, which is based on Eutech's iViva Smart Workplace and Avaya's unified communications solutions, includes video, web conferencing and collaboration solutions. Avaya One-X Mobile will enable access to the system through mobile devices including phones and tablets.

The system will be used for communications across the network of stores, as well as delivering staff product knowledge and training, and enhancing customer service experience as staff will be able to get instant access to product information.

"Connecting your brand to your customers has never been more important or challenging as it is today. The Paris Gallery Group of Companies, with more than 80 retail stores and 3,000-plus staff, has always strived to keep customer service at its best. How we communicate with customers affects their shopping experience. How we communicate with each other internally determines how we share information and work together in a timely and effective manner. PG Connect will not only increase the productivity of our personnel, but it will also help maintain a healthy work-life balance, which will result in them being more responsive and attentive to the needs of our customers. It will reduce maintenance costs and aid in efficiently utilising space, enabling us to put more resources into serving our clientele," said Mohammed Abdul Rahim Al Fahim, CEO of the Paris Gallery Group.

"Communication is fundamental to business performance. By putting in place the right support tools and resources, we can achieve the communication culture that we have envisioned across the entire organisation. With these solutions, our personnel will now be able to fully realize and reach their potential. It will also help us effectively showcase our expertise in serving a unique market with value-added services and offers," added Al Fahim.

"PG Connect is the first example of a Communications-Enabled Smart Workplace for the retail sector. It will transform the customer shopping experience at Paris Gallery, taking it to a whole new level, while at the same time improving staff productivity. Eutech is delighted to partner with Paris Gallery and Avaya to deliver this game-changing technology platform," said Hari Gunasingham, CEO of Eutech Cybernetic.

"We are delighted to see how leading luxury retail chains like Paris Gallery are embracing the latest communications technologies to increase customer satisfaction, team productivity and operational efficiency," commented Nidal Abou-ltaif, vice president, Avaya Middle East, Africa and Mediterranean.

"Paris Gallery is a real-life example of the Power of We in action. With Avaya open standards architecture, Paris Gallery infrastructure is geared for expansions and growth plans protecting existing IT investments and enabling all their users with video and unified communications on their preferred device of choice," he added.

The project is in it initial phase now, and is expected to be fully operational by the end of the year.
