Regional VAD Spectrami and copy data management solutions vendor, Actifio, have unveiled a Customer Experience Centre (CEC) that will be hosted at the distributor's regional head office in Dubai.

According to Spetrami, the CEC aims to enhance customer experiences for both channel partners and their end-user clients.

Spectrami says the experience centre replicates a complete data centre, fully installed with Actifio copy data management software and servers from all major vendors including Oracle, HP and VMware.

Anand Choudha, managing director at Spectrami, said the CEC will be used as a demo facility for Actifio and Spectrami services, eliminating the need for expensive and lengthy onsite PoCs. "We are delighted to have been the first partner to host such a facility outside Boston," he said.

Choudha said the centre will offer channel partners and their clients the opportunity to test Actifio copy data management offerings regardless of the technology they have in their environment.

Ash Ashutosh, CEO and founder of Actifio said the company has witnessed impressive growth in the Middle East region. "I do believe that our services play a crucial role in the storage management sphere," he said.

Ashutosh pointed out that the copy data market is worth $44bn and that's why this market matters to Actifio.

He added that 50% of the company's revenue comes from outside the US and having opened the CEC in Dubai in conjunction with Spectrami demonstrates the commitment the company has to the region IT market and copy data management segment.
