UAE telco Etisalat has launched a managed WAN service for its business customers with offices in various locations around the world.

Etisalat said that it will supply and handle the CPE, installation, monitoring, remote management and onsite support to ensure the customers' networking infrastructure.

The telco will use its own international operations and partnerships to offer a broad geographical coverage for the service.

"Etisalat will be able to provide a one-stop-shop and eradicates various points of contact for Managed Global WAN service requirements," the company said in a statement.

The service will make use of Etisalat's customer network and security operations centre (CNOC/SOC) located at its premises in the UAE.

Abdulla Hashim, senior vice president of ICT, Etisalat, said that the launch of the service had expanded the telco's managed services portfolio to include managed WAN, managed LAN Switch, a unified threat management solution, managed web and email security, managed voice/PBX and managed remote access. "This has helped address all ICT solution requirements of our business customers," he said.
