Technology powerhouse Samsung has appointed Logicom Jordan as its authorised IT distribution partner effective immediately.

Under the terms of the agreement, Logicom will supply the IT and retail channels in Jordan with Samsung's IT products including laptops, monitors, Windows-based tablets and printers.

Toni Azzi, regional manager - North Africa & Levant at Logicom Public, said: "Adding Samsung to our product portfolio is a strategic move for Logicom Jordan especially with the new range of Samsung's line of products."

Azzi said Samsung complements Logicom existing portfolio in Jordan as the company will be able to strengthen its product array to existing and new partners in that country.

He said Logicom's main objective is to expand its footprint in the IT channel, increase visibility of the Samsung brand and grow this business and market share in Jordan. "We have partnered with Samsung because of its comprehensive offerings and the vendor's commitment to bringing quality products to market," he said.

Azzi said Logicom has always been looking for "A-brands" and Samsung's latest product line is among the best-of-breed products in the IT market. "We believe that the opportunity of growing Samsung's business in Jordan is tremendous for both companies and is a perfect fit," he said.
