Almasa Value Distribution partners with LG There is tremendous unaddressed potential for integrated signage solutions in the region, says El Tawil.

Almasa Value Distribution, an Almasa Holdings subsidiary, has announced a regional partnership with LG Electronics to address the visual communications needs in the Gulf region.

Under the agreement, Almasa Value Distribution will incorporate LG's display technologies into digital signage systems aimed at various verticals including retail, hospitality, government and transportation sector.

According to LG, Almasa's extensive knowledge of the Middle East market combined with its innovative commercial displays are will enable the company to gain significant market share in the region.

Roger El Tawil, executive director of Almasa Value Distribution, said: "There is tremendous unaddressed potential for integrated signage solutions in the region. Almasa's partnership with LG will give the customers a source for innovative and attractive digital signage options that are specifically tailored for the environments and business goals of verticals such as retail, hospitality, public sector and transportation. Together, we anticipate robust demand from hospitality and retail firms who appreciate the value and return-on-investment that a bespoke signage solution can deliver."

D.Y. Kim, president of LG Electronics, Gulf FZE added: "The Almasa Value Distribution and LG partnership allows us to reinforce our presence in the market and strengthen our distribution channels. We look forward to providing this complete offering to our customers who require solutions from multiple software providers and integrators."

Kim said the overarching challenge that the region's decision-makers face is the need to work with multiple vendors to provide signage and security systems, resulting in solutions which don't interconnect or deliver a consistent message to the audience. He explained that LG's technology and Almasa's complementary professional products enable system integrators to develop and deliver solutions which are tailored for verticals that the two companies will be targeting.
