Spectrami to run storage workshop in Oman, Qatar
TechCafé to address end-user implementation challenges
MENA VAD Spectrami today announced it has initiated its educative and awareness programme, TechCafé to "address the concerns of enterprise end-users in the region".
Spectrami has partnered with Oman-based EON IT to hold TechCafe in the Gulf sultanate on 23 April 2013 at Park Inn Hotel, Muscat. In Qatar the company has joined forces with QPGI to hold TechCafé on 24 April 2013 at Hotel Crowne Plaza, Doha.
Both workshops will be held in association with storage solution provider Actifio and are targeted at government, oil & gas and financial sectors.
The theme for the workshops will be "Copy Data Storage" and they will focus on the challenges presented to the IT function by the current exponential growth of data.
During the event, senior Actifio executives, Andrew Slater and Ravi Kollipara, will share their global experiences and talk about implementations.
Anand Choudha, managing director, Spectrami, said, "TechCafé is a platform that bridges the gap between the technology provider and technology user. The main objective [in organising] TechCafé is not about sales pitch, but reaching out to end-users and understanding their requirements, challenges and pain points. We are firm believers [in] team work and our partnership with EON IT and QPCI has been able to produce an overwhelming response from enterprises both in Oman and Qatar."
