By  Stephen McBride Published  April 18, 2013

UAE telco du announced this week that it would be "the first to offer the HTC One smartphone to customers" with pre-booking available from today until 24 April.

While some electronics retailers, both online and outlet, are already selling the new LTE-enabled HTC One, as the exclusive launch partner for the handset, du will be able offer data packages along with a subsidised price of AED2699.

To reserve an HTC One with du, customers can visit any du-branded store and pay a non-refundable pre-booking fee of AED200, which will be deducted from the device price on receipt.

"HTC's newest smartphone, the HTC One, received the GSMA award for the best new mobile handset, device or tablet at Mobile World Congress 2013," said Farid Faraidooni, chief commercial officer, du.

"We are thrilled to be the official launch partner for the HTC One in the UAE, giving our customers the exclusive opportunity to be the first in the country to own the smartphone. Our 4G LTE network will allow them to enjoy the full features of the HTC One as they were designed to be experienced."

Enjoy 4G on du network. yeah right. Using iPhone 5 (Model #A1429) since the last few months, never seen the LTE on my handset. Even 3G speeds are ridiculous
Where as my S3 with 4G on Etisalat number gets the 4G signal everywhere.
So 4G on du is almost non-existent
