GFI Software today announced it recently conducted a training workshop in Islamabad, Pakistan, focused on the challenges faced by businesses and partners in the country.

GFI Software used the opportunity to give its channel partners and end-users at the workshop an update on the latest global trends and additions to the company's product portfolio.

During the event, participants were given hands-on training on a variety of GFI products such as GFI MailArchiver, GFI WebMonitor, GFI MailEssentials Online, GFI FaxMaker and GFI LanGuard, among others. The training was provided by Fawad Laiq and Tariq Mahmood from Comguard, GFI's regional distributor.

Pakistan Security Exchange and the State Bank of Pakistan were among the organisations that attended the event. Channel partners in the country such as Haniya Technologies and Junisys also took part.

"We are thrilled with the response from both the channel community and businesses for our workshop," said John Spoor, regional director, MEA, GFI Software.

"It gives us immense encouragement to focus more energy towards the fast-growing IT market in Pakistan. I would like to thank all the participants who made this a successful event and GFI plans to be back soon for similar training workshops to educate end-users and facilitate business growth for our partners in Pakistan."
