Zain Kuwait has deployed advanced billing mediation, provisioning and activation software from Finnish vendor Comptel Corporation.

The software will help Zain consolidate its billing mediation transaction processing and automate the order-to-activation process, to improve time to market, customer satisfaction and top-line revenue generation.

Zain Kuwait upgraded its systems to achieve greater stability, increased business and operational flexibility, as well as to support IMS and LTE.

"Providing an experience that caters to every customer's needs is vital to Zain's sustainability in an increasingly competitive industry," said Hani El Kukhun, COO, Zain Kuwait.

"Our customers want an overall better experience than they can get elsewhere. Comptel is clearly partnering with us to deliver these strategic priorities."

Mika Korpinen, SVP, MEA, Comptel, added: "We know from previous experience that with Comptel Convergent Mediation alone, operators can realise up to 80% in cost-savings; our solutions will help Zain Kuwait achieve similar business performance improvements, including ensuring rapid time to market."
