Cyberoam has launched a new NetGenie On-Cloud Management Service (NCMS), which will allow remote administration of its NetGenie SO/HO network security appliances.

The NCMS provides a Web-based interface so that the Cyberoam NetGenie, which is available as a UTM appliance for small offices, and a smart wireless router for home use, can be administered remotely. This allows parents or business managers to ensure that networks are secure and not being used for improper activity even while away from the home site.

The NCMS dashboard displays current Internet activities of users, attempts to access blocked sites, along with the Internet WatchList which includes website categories whose usage could be a cause of concern for parents /employers. Internet activity reports of users for a given duration can also be viewed or downloaded.

Abhilash Sonwane, senior vice president (Product Management), Cyberoam: "With NetGenie's On-Cloud Management, parents and SOHO owners get real-time visibility and management capabilities of their NetGenie appliances even when they are travelling. NCMS takes away the dependence on physical presence of parents and SOHO owners for security in their networks. Parents and SOHO owners can now have the peace of mind and control over Internet activities in their networks even when they are not around."
