Dubai Silicon Oasis Authority (DSOA), in collaboration with Optimus Technology and Telecommunications, today announced the eighth edition of the Silicon Oasis TechForum will highlight the latest technology trends and serve as a networking platform for industry professionals, academics and students.

The event is scheduled to be held on 12 March at the DSO-based Rochester Institute of Technology in Dubai.

Anand Subramanian, fusion and cloud application leader, Oracle Middle East and Africa, will place the spotlight on recent trends that are resulting in simplified and superior user experience practices within the IT industry. He will also underline how social media platforms such as Facebook and Twitter are impacting an entire generation's view of usability, connectivity and mobility.

Karl Gartner, chief executive officer of Conlux will provide an overview of solar street lighting, combining the latest technologies in photovoltaic solar panels with LED lighting and high-tech lens concepts.

"Following the success of our previous events, we are pleased to announce the eighth Silicon Oasis TechForum," said Ghanim Al Falasi, senior vice-president, Corporate Services at DSOA.
