Inaugural electronics fair to attract the who’s who in the consumer electronics sector

All set for Abu Dhabi’s Electronics Shopper 2013 DOME Exhibitions, the organisers of ADES 2013, is estimating that 75,000 consumers will visit the show over a 5-day period.

The inaugural Abu Dhabi Electronics Shopper (ADES) 2013, the consumer electronics show organised by DOME Exhibitions is set to open later this week.

The exhibition will be held from 14th to 18th March 2013 at Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Centre (ADNEC) and will feature prominent regional electronic retailers and global consumer electronics brands.

Humaid Matar Al Dhaheri, ADNEC's chief commercial officer, said: "Hosting an event like ADES 2013 for the first time at ADNEC falls in line with our vision to attract a variety of new exhibitions and events which will be added to ADNEC's annual agenda. With wide participation from significant names in the retail, communications and information technology (ICT) industry, we are confident ADES 2013 will attract thousands of consumers to the fair over the 5-day period."

Al Dhaheri, said ADNEC will provide technical support to organisers, participating retailers and exhibitors to establish the desired branding for the event as the company anticipates to expand the platform in the near future.

Antoine Georges, managing director at DOME Exhibitions, said the company is pleased to have organised the first consumer electronics fair in Abu Dhabi as ADES will help promote innovation in the ICT sector and distinguish Abu Dhabi as one of leading technology destinations in the region.

Dony Cyril, exhibitions director, remarked: "We expect a high turnout for the event and estimate that 75,000 visitors will attend ADES this year as the community and market have high demand for all the latest innovative technologies, which they will find at the show."

Some of the power retailers expected at ADES 2013 include: Sharaf DG, Emax Electronics, Plug Ins, Compu Me, Costless Electronics, Grand Stores, V.V. & Sons LLC and Hi Fi City.
