Injazat signs deal with defence specialist Cubic
Injazat to provide support for Cubic training applications in use with UAE government
Injazat Data Systems has signed a manpower support agreement with US-based defence training and simulation company Cubic Defense Applications.
Under the agreement, Injazat will provide skilled personnel to support Cubic's computer-based training simulators that are in use in the UAE. Cubic's EST 2000 marksmanship training system is currently in use with several UAE government institutions, and Injazat will develop staff to assist in operation and maintenance of the system.
The deal will, which was announced at the International Defense Exhibition (IDEX) 2013, taking place in Abu Dhabi this week, will build on Injazat's existing business with the defence sector.

Defence is an important aspect of national development, which is why Injazat has been building up its capabilities in this field." said Ibrahim Lari, chief executive officer, Injazat Data Systems.
"Developing the right ICT skills and competencies among Emirati nationals is a priority for Injazat. Our partnership with Cubic allows our employees to collaborate on world-class training systems that will further expand their defence and technology skill sets, which will help us support the UAE's defence initiatives in the long term," Lari added.
Cubic has recently established a regional office in Abu Dhabi, co-located with Injazat, and the two companies have also agreed to co-operate to pursue other areas of collaboration in the Middle East.
