Chris Moore joins Blue Coat
Veteran IT executive joins WAN optimisation vendor a month after leaving Trend Micro
A month after Chris Moore left security software vendor Trend Micro, Blue Coat Systems Inc, a maker of Web security and WAN optimisation solutions, has named him as the new regional sales director for its operations in the Middle East.
Moore's appointment brings to an end Blue Coat's search for a regional head and comes at a time when the company is preparing to expand its footprint in the Middle East.
Reporting to vice president of EMEA Sales, Stuart Henderson, Moore's key objective is to grow Blue Coat's security and WAN optimisation business across the region and build upon the company's strength in the secure Web gateway (SWG) and WAN Optimisation service offerings.

Moore joins Blue Coat from Trend Micro where he was the regional director of Sales, Service and Marketing. He has more than 18 years of regional sales experience with multinational companies that include: Extreme Networks, Juniper Networks, Newbridge Networks, Alcatel and Gandalf Digital Communications.
