Optimus expands data centre offerings with Avayo
Agreement covers range of comms products across MEA and beyond
IT and telecoms VAD Optimus Technology and Telecommunications today announced it has signed a distribution agreement with communications equipment manufacturer Avayo Electronics. As per the agreement, Optimus will promote and distribute Avayo's range of products through its channel network across Middle East, Africa, Pakistan and Afghanistan.

As Avayo's value-added distributor, Optimus will help create and establish the vendor's channel network and conduct focused development activities such as training and consultancy to enable it to sell Avayo's solutions.
The distributor will also invest in marketing activities to increase Avayo's brand visibility in the region. Optimus said it plans to position Avayo as a "solution of choice" to complement data centre requirements and will bundle it with complementary offerings from vendors such as Opti-UPS, Netgear, Acer and NetIQ to enhance its market share. The company will train partners in service delivery through its training arm, Optimus Academy.
