BCS IT conference to be held in Abu Dhabi The BCS International IT conference will open on 31st March in Abu Dhabi.

British Chartered Institute for IT (BCS) Middle East Chapter is to host its first conference in the Middle East.

The BCS International IT conference will be held under the auspices of His Excellency Sheikh Nahyan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and supported by the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Chartered Institute for IT and the Al Khawarizmi International College.

The event will take place from 31st March to 1st April, at the Fairmont Bab AlBahr Hotel in Abu Dhabi, and aims to bring together the industry experts and decision makers.

Adel Alkaff Al Hashmi, conference chair and chairman of the British Chartered Institute for IT (BCS) Middle East Chapter, said: "We are delighted to organize the first BCS International IT conference in Abu Dhabi, for it is one of the leading technology events in the region. We are really honoured that the conference is being held under the patronage of His Excellency Sheikh Nahyan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and under the motto: 'Towards the 21st Century Innovations'".

Martyn Lambert, CEO of BCS Learning and Development limited, added: "Our mission at BCS, a pioneering company for IT, is to empower the information community. Through 80,000 members across the world, we help promote the advancement of IT science and practice through delivering a range of advanced development tools for the government, practitioners, academics and students. The event include sponsorship and support from the  Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Union National Bank, The Emirates Center for Strategic Studies and Research, Higher Colleges of Technology, Abu Dhabi Education Council, Khalifa University, Abu Dhabi Judicial Department, and Al Khawarizmi International College.
