Swiss cabling solutions specialist Reichle & De-Massari, will introduce its data centre solutions, featuring the multiple-fibre push on connector as well as its multi-fibre termination push-on system and raised floor box, to the Saudi market.

R&M's solution is designed for establishing a strong foundation for a reliable and robust data centre.

"Saudi IT decision-makers have become increasingly aware of the need for robust data centre environments to guarantee reliable and secure data communication and storage as the Saudi market continues to adopt services such as cloud computing at a rapid pace. R&M simplifies the choice for IT decision-makers by offering a wide range of solutions to build high performing scalable data centres," said Jean-Pierre Labry, executive vice president, R&M Middle East and Africa.

R&M's customised solutions are designed to allow IT decision-makers to choose an optimised solution tailored to fit their data centre needs regardless of industry vertical or, scale or complexity of their current network infrastructure.  The solutions also feature forward looking design aspects, which allow for migration to bandwidth speeds up to 100 Gigabytes.

At the enterprise level, 85% of Saudi companies are expected to adopt cloud technologies during 2012.  The local IT market is also expected to invest $7.92 billion by the end of the current year and $12.3 billion by 2015 due to trends such as virtualisation and global ERP systems.  As a result of such growing demand for high speed uninterrupted bandwidth and reliable data storage, the need for scalable data centre infrastructure and solutions becomes heightened.

"Data centres must keep high standards to provide its offered services without any break down. In order to provide continued break free service to the IT and communication network, the components used to build up a data center should be of high quality either active or passive equipment.  Installing a high end zero defect cabling solution such as R&M's, definitely results in better network performance and faultless reliability.  R&M in the market is known for providing modular and customized solutions, which reduces the planning process for creating a robust data center enabling network planners to keep up with growing traffic and demands on the network," said Manzoor Ali, managing director, R&M Saudi Arabia and Bahrain.

A combination between copper and fibre, R&M offers the MPO/MTP system, designed to allow for a complete end-to-end cabling solution as well as easy migration to 100 Gigabytes. In addition, data centre operators benefit from the advantages of pre-terminated and cut-to-length copper and fibre optic cables. These forward looking design aspects simplify handling, so installation times are significantly reduced.

With R&M's raised floor box, cable termination and patching functions are shifted into the raised floor. That way free space and an organised structure for cables has been achieved to enable better speed and performance.

Supported by local offices throughout the Middle East and Africa, including in the UAE, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Qatar, and Egypt,  R&M also offers a warranty programme covering planning, product selection, installation, measurements at formal acceptance and network operation.
