A number of Google services were interrupted yesterday, including Gmail, Reuters reported.
The Web giant confirmed that its Apps suite was affected, naming Gmail and cloud storage offering Google Drive. Both services had resumed by 1.10 pm EST, according to Google's Apps Dashboard monitoring service.
Public complaints surfaced about the outages across the US and worldwide, including the UK and Brazil, according to Reuters. The exact number of locations and services affected has yet to be disclosed, as has the reason for the disruption, but other users mentioned issues with Google Docs and Google Chrome. The browser was reported to be crashing periodically.
"We are currently experiencing an issue with some Google services," said Google spokeswoman Andrea Freund.
"For everyone who is affected, we apologize for any inconvenience you may be experiencing."
