Dubai-based Middle East VAD Spectrami announced its participation in the Middle East edition of the world's leading security conference, Black Hat to be held at Abu Dhabi on 5 and 6 December 2012.

Spectrami is participating in association with its vendor partner General Dynamics Fidelis Cybersecurity Solutions, a specialist in network visibility, analysis, and control solutions.

With the rise in the number of advanced cyber-attacks targeting leading oil and gas companies, critical infrastructures and the region's banking sector, Spectrami argues that a need has arisen to increase awareness about Advance Persistent Threat (APT) protection in  enterprise-level organisations.

Together with Spectrami, Fidelis Cybersecurity Solutions will showcase its Fidelis XPS solution.

"Fidelis XPS Advanced Threat Defense products enable organisations to discover and eradicate threats in real time through broad visibility over all network threats (both malware and non-malware based), across all network ports and protocols, at multi-gigabit speeds," Spectrami said.

"Our main purpose to participate along with our partner Fidelis Cybersecurity Solutions at Black Hat, Abu Dhabi is to create more awareness and educate customers about the advancement in levels of cyber-attack, which can't be countered without the adoption of advance security solutions like Fidelis XPS," said Anand Choudha, managing director, Spectrami.

"The Fidelis XPS solution can provide comprehensive protection to enterprises and governments in the region against advanced persistent threats and hacking into their critical infrastructure. We believe that Black Hat is one platform from where we can take our message to a larger audience spread across the Middle East region."
