R&M to showcase R&Mfoxs at FTTH summit Labry: Today, the only professional way to accommodate the demand for bandwidth and new services is to expand fibre-optic networks.

Swiss structured cabling specialist Reichle & De-Massari has announced its participation as a silver sponsor in the upcoming Fiber to the Home (FTTH) Council MENA Conference 2012, taking place at the Grand Hyatt hotel in Doha, Qatar on 12-13 December, 2012.

The company will be demonstrating its Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) cabling capabilities including ‘R&Mfoxs', a fibre-optic cross connection system for public fibre-optic networks.

"R&Mfoxs, a modular program for passive network technology covers all levels of modern broadband infrastructures from data centre and main distributor to the feeder, drop and access area and beyond to FO outlets," said R&M.

The program is based on SCM, the single circuit management system developed by R&M. It features easy-to-operate splice trays for managing the individual fibres and subscribers. The products and platforms of the R&Mfoxs range can be combined as required and they support all topologies and types of cables available in the market, according to R&M.

"Today, the only professional way to accommodate the demand for bandwidth and new services is to expand fibre-optic networks," said Jean-Pierre Labry, executive vice president of R&M Middle East and Africa.

"R&Mfoxs helps network operators to achieve this goal. FTTH projects only make sense if the TCO can be calculated completely and the roll-out goes extremely quickly, without mistakes. At the same time, network operators need flexible, scalable systems with a high packing density that can be individually adapted to any market and site situation. R&Mfoxs is just the answer to these requirements."
