Recently formed systems integrator company Meta Byte Technologies, is looking to grow its solution provider and integration business in the Middle East region.

Aiming to become a regional systems integrator player of note, Meta Byte Technologies is steadily building its business in the Middle East.

The company is a startup but has all the requisite skills sets to offer consultancy and solutions in the networking, storage, security and enterprise applications domain.  According to the company, it is gradually building it credentials with the aim of establishing its mark in the SI space at regional level.

According to Meta Byte Technologies, the motivation behind it venturing into the solution provider space was borne from its own ability to address the challenges faced by businesses and to help them solve their problems by offering them right solutions to increase productivity, reduce admin and operational overheads.

To achieve this vision, Meta Byte Technologies knows too well that it has to provide best-of-breed solutions if it is to gain any competitive advantage in the aggressive IT solutions selling business in the region. To this end, the SI has partnered with most of the leading global multinationals to achieve its mission.

Salil Dighe, managing director, Meta Byte Technologies, said the company is all about solving real data issues. “We are at providing solutions in the performance and operational cost savings space which ensure high performance and efficiency. At the same time, said Dighe, reducing power consumption and data centre rack space requirements with extreme performance has been a key focus area for Meta Byte Technologies.

Dighe said the IT solutions space is going to grow with new technologies coming into the market and major organisations trying to consolidate their infrastructure to optimise their performance. “We are seeing a major uptake in data protection and storage projects. Unfortunately, very few integrators have the skills sets that are required to provide solutions in both these areas, as they either specialise in storage or security. A combination of both of these segments is not very common in the region,” he said.

He added that as the market is crowded with so many international products and solution companies, which are all trying to reap the benefits of the regional IT market, it is important for customers to be aware of focusing on their core business objective and not get carried away by vendor promises.

Dighe said Meta Byte Technologies has taken effort and interest to understand the different dependencies like having additional knowledge and training that a channel partner needs to operate in the solution provider space. “Our capability is to focus on being able to provide innovative solutions within the data performance, data manageability and data security space.

To this end, said Dighe, the company offers consultancy services to clients primarily in the data centre consolidation and optimisation space, IT architectural review sector, storage and security, and building new data centres.

He explained that the company has a wide range of expertise on hardware platforms as well as software solutions that it represents. “We are not limiting ourselves on these solutions as we are adding expertise needed from an end-to-end solution provisioning aspect. These include OSes like Microsoft, data repositories like Exchange, SQL server, Sharepoint, networking and security solutions from best-of-breed vendors in the industry,” he said. “As, we are highly focused in our approach and not catering to just every IT solution, we have been able to avoid a situation where we are lacking in certain skills sets.”

Dighe added that it’s definitely not an easy task to retain skilled professionals by any organisation in the Middle East region. “We acknowledge the importance of skilled professionals in our organisation, therefore we have been able to provide the conducive platform for our employees to grow their exposure,” he said. “We are highly focused in our approach and not catering to just every IT solution out there. We have been able to avoid a situation where would be lacking in certain skill sets.”

Dighe explained that currently, Meta Byte Technologies is well equipped with essential skills sets to offer consultancy and IT solutions in the networking, storage, security and enterprise applications spheres in the region.

With specialisations in network infrastructure, storage optimisation, security, compliance and data manageability, Dighe is upbeat about the prospects for the future in the Middle East market. “We are representing world leaders and innovators in the IT industry. With Fusion-io, Varonis and MaaS360 as our flagship brands, we have a compelling offering to all clients.

“Fusion-io is our flagship solution, which we believe is a game changer in the server and data centre consolidation areas, as well as in the application acceleration space.

Dighe said although there is a lack of awareness about new innovations in the data protection, storage and data centre optimisation arena, customers in the Middle East can expect Meta Byte to continue providing them innovative solutions.
