The IT security vendor is expanding sales and support staff, and is looking to double its total number of qualified value added partners across the Middle East region.

Cyberoam is looking to expand its base by expanding its partner network in the region. The company is set to focus on training the VAR channel, while also recruiting partners across the region.

Surender Kumar Bishnoi, GM, Middle East, Cyberoam, said that though the company is present in markets across different segments, it is focusing on working with its partners to cross sell and up sell its product offerings.

He said: “We are also concentrating on broadening the market segments that we serve through product diversification from the enterprise to mid-size businesses and small businesses offering the right solution with their security and performance requirement.”

Cyberoam is also heavily involved in the channel and has partnered with some of the most renowned System Integrators and partners in the region. The rising demands of Cyberoam UTM and the predicted high growth of the market for the period between 2010 and 2013, has necessitated the IT security vendor an aggressive inroad into the market.

“Cyberoam is fully channel-driven and we have always offered excellent support structure for partners. With our automated partner support system we will be enabling our partners to quickly, easily, and profitably avail themselves of on-demand distribution and support services in addition to sales and marketing tools. In doing so, we are providing a strong support structure to enhance partner strength in delivering Cyberoam to the customer,” said Bishnoi.

Bishnoi added that the company will be expanding sales and support staff to help partners service their customers better though a high level of technical support. It is also looking forward to add more value added partners, aiming to effectively double the total number of qualified partners across the region.

Commenting about what can be expected from Cyberoam’s distribution partners going forward, Bishnoi said: “Cyberoam expects and guides partners to add value while delivering security. Cyberoam invests not only in the development of powerful, integrated solutions that creates more value than comparably priced competitor products but also in training them. Cyberoam helps its partners in the role of demonstrating competence and gaining industry recognition for skills, networking and security as well as in deploying, configuring and managing the Cyberoam CR appliances through its certification programmes for which instructor-led training is provided on demand. The trainings are such as CCNSP and CCNSE are thoughtfully designed to increase efficiency in maximizing the benefits of Cyberoam appliances for customers and thus help retain and easily capture markets.”

The security industry is increasingly moving to a service model where vendors take the utmost care to ensure the quality and success of their end-user. Cyberoam says that its strategy is to ensure reseller’s growth and success through education with a special focus on partner wise defined marketing activities and support through its Global Support Management Centre.

While most businesses in the Middle East IT sector have had to adapt for the past three years during the economic downturn, Cyberoam understood that the challenge lies in value added services and an agile response to customer needs. Bishnoi said that this has been the differentiator for Cyberoam in the regional channel.

“Cyberoam ensures profitability, long-term growth and development of the customer base of its channel partners by investing heavily through cutting edge training and support infrastructure. This investment in partner expertise and skills makes Cyberoam a preferred choice of businesses that not only have the security advantage of a unique technology but are also secured in their skin that any issue will be taken care of and resolved. Cyberoam customers find associating with Cyberoam enables a more efficient security posture thanks to the technology expertise, emphasis on customer service and an in depth experience that helps fine tune their security aspects minutely,” said Bishnoi.

Cyberoam will be displaying its whole range of Cyberoam appliances at GITEX and will highlight its feature packed Cyberoam UTM. It also intends to showcase a plethora of technologies that Bishnoi says keeps it on top of the game. The security vendor has been a regular participant at the exhibition and thinks that it is the ideal platform to showcase new technology and get feedback from the market on how different products need to be adapted.

Bishnoi concluded by saying: “Cyberoam expects overall growth across MENA. Both North Africa as well as Middle East are our star performances in our global list. We seek to further take it the next level of market penetration where adoption is gets smoother and brand consciousness increases.”
