Star Micronics offers POS printers

Star Micronics employees are visibly excited about their Japanese-manufactured point of sale (P.O.S.) printers.

Visit the company’s stand at GITEX TECHNOLOGY WEEK and they will gladly show you all the bells and whistles of the P.O.S. printers they so proudly represent. The state of the art printers use a software interface that helps businesses of any size quickly and easily integrate their printers into their existing infrastructure. This is possible because all the information is held as transferable data, easily integrated to any new machine through e-mail or through a server.

“There is so much benefit to gain out of intelligent P.O.S. printers as the speed of integration and the built-in capacity for data processing can be extremely valuable for the user versus using traditional printers,” says Annette Tarlton, marketing director, while demonstrating the functionality of one of the printers.

Although the company itself is content to be a quiet over achiever, it counts amongst its clients titans such as McDonald’s, Swarovsky, Harrod’s and Selfridges.

The company, headquartered in the UK, hopes to be able to show the region how different and easy to configure a P.O.S. printer can be.

It currently has half a dozen major regional distributors and hopes to expand on that as the market for its products grows in the coming years.
