Comguard, a Dubai-based regional VAD for IT security products, has partnered with Swedish network security specialist Clavister, in a deal that will see it provide the vendor’s security offerings to the regional channel.

The deal, which was signed at the ongoing GITEX TECHNOLOGY WEEK, will see Comguard supply the full range of Clavister’s suite of network security solutions for the enterprise market, cloud providers and telecom operators across the Middle East and North Africa region. In addition, Clavister states that Comguard will provide technical support, installation services, sales training and pre- and post-sales support to channel partners right across the region.

According to Comguard, the deal to sign with Clavister is part of its stated strategy to further enhance the vendor’s security offerings as it readies to launch cloud services for partners in the Middle East market.

The distributor has recently signed partnerships with Gateprotect, a UTM solutions vendor, and Fix Me Stick, a USB anti-virus software company.

Mohammad Mobasseri, senior vice president, Comguard, says: “The superior range of network security products from Clavister will complement our existing product portfolio. Clavister’s wide range of products are the perfect fit for enterprises especially telecom operators and government organisations. This tie up will also allow our channel partners to offer high-quality security offerings along with next generation firewall capabilities, enabling them to work on bigger projects with which they can address new segments of market in the region.”

“We are sure that with our established channel base as well as providing additional support to partners and end-users, we will enable Clavister to expand its reach in the region at a fast pace.”  Mobasseri concludes.
