UAE-based PC and consumer electronics manufacturer Touchmate has unveiled a range of tablets and accessories at the ongoing GITEX TECHNOLOGY WEEK. The company has also revealed that its expanded operations in Qatar, Bahrain Oman and Kuwait have received positive feedback from by channel partners in these countries.

The company, which has mainly focused its operations in the UAE and international exports to the African continent, says the expansion strategy was designed to enhance customer touch points, service and support for partners in the four countries.

Kamal Kumar, general manager, Touchmate Middle East FZCO, says the company is delighted to have launched a range of new tablets and accessories this week.

“We had a successful GITEX Shopper and are building on that success during this week. We are looking forward to establishing new partnerships with partners on the African continent where the Touchmate brand enjoys a lot of appeal,” he says. Kumar says the company has used GITEX to unveil its products. “We now have over 25 different tablet models in our stable.”

He said in addition to the expansion plan, Touchmate is also evaluating select markets on the African continent with a view to helping channel partners grow their businesses with Touchmate’s growing portfolio of PC, consumer electronics and accessories.Kumar pointed out that the company is also preparing to launch a dual sim Touchmate smartphone array that will hit the market before this year. “Touchmate products have shown sustained growth, especially tablet offerings, and our aim is to enhance our brand offerings by having in-country touch points. We are committed to providing our customers with the perfect consumer electronics, IT products and accessories.”

Kumar said the company is in a unique position as it also retails the Touchmate branded products through its own chain under the same moniker. “The demand for quality, affordable consumer electronics among tier-two customers has been phenomenal for us,” he says.
