FVC, one of the leading value-added distributors in the MENA region, is focusing on key emerging technologies at GITEX TECHNOLOGY WEEK.

The company is demonstrating technology including unified communications, information security and advanced networking for six key industrial sectors including oil and gas, healthcare, education and the financial sector.

FVC has special demonstration rooms for Polycom’s popular Immersive Real Presence solution (RPX), as well as its CIE (Customer Immersive Experience). CIE, using collaborative technology from Polycom and Microsoft Lync Solutions delivers standards-based, unified communications that lets the enterprise user collaborate from the desk, on the road, at home, or in a conference room.

Polycom said that a new extension to its RealPresence Platform allows customers to extend enterprise-grade video collaboration to users of Skype,Facebook, and Google Talk users, and other business video applications via a browser, for B2B and B2C video conferencing with the highest quality, reliability and security.

Polycom also announced enhancements to its RealPresence Platform including the industry’s first open standards-based SVC, providing 3X HD multipoint video capacity for greater scalability and dramatically lower TCO, superior performance, and backwards- and forwards-compatibility for investment protection—all available through a software update.

Polycom’s User Experience (Polycom UX) delivers the industry’s best user experience with more than 20 new user innovations and features, including  a completely redesigned UI and the industry’s most lifelike HD image quality of up to 1080p60 resolution.

Dharmendra Parmar, GM, marketing at FVC, said: “Over the past decade that we have been in the value-added business, we have been able to highlight key challenges that each of these key sectors face and developed successful solutions with our vendor partners that help the IT managers of these key sectors.”
