Aptec Holdings plans to demonstrate its transition from traditional distributor to VAD this week. It will display a broad range of enterprise, SME and SMB products and solutions, with a focus on cloud computing and smart solutions.

“From a traditional distributor, Aptec has been making the transition to value added distribution for some time now with the establishment of ATS, its professional services arm, and ALS (Advanced Logistics Services), addressing the needs of its partners in more than 20 countries,” says Dr Ali Baghdadi, CEO, Aptec. “Aptec now offers a multitude of solutions with products supplied by more than 30 of the world’s leading IT vendors. These include infrastructure solutions like security, data centre, storage, virtualisation, private & public clouds, networking and others, applications like database engines, data analytics, CRM, smart dashboards and unified communications.”

Aptec’s Advanced Logistics Services is a fully licensed and authorised third party logistics business approved by both the Department of Economic Development (DED) in Dubai and the Jebel Ali Free Zone Authority (JAFZA). The company operates through its network of six owned and leased high-tech warehousing and support facilities in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Egypt and Lebanon. As part of its push into value-added distribution, Aptec has invested in training centres that contribute to the ‘skilling up’ of resellers.
