GITEX Technology Week opens in Dubai
Thirty-second GITEX to showcase Where Technology Meets Business
GITEX Technology Week opens at the Dubai World Trade Centre on 14th October.
This year's show, the 32nd edition of the largest IT event in the MEA region, is expected to attract over 130,000 visitors, with 3,500 exhibitors from 54 countries.
GITEX 2012 is being held under the theme of ‘Where Technology Meets Business', and includes dedicated conference tracks on key technology areas, including the Cloud Confex, Consumerisation of IT Forum and Cyber Security Seminars.
The event also includes industry briefings on key verticals including Oil and Gas, Banking and Finance, Education, Healthcare and Government sectors. The Digital Strategies Forum will include digital marketing and online media.

DWTC estimates that GITEX will see as many as 1,000 launches this week, a visit from hip hop megastar 50 Cent to launch his SMS Audio headphones.
The show also includes a dedicated SME Zone, an Africa in Focus which will Zambia, Kenya, Nigeria, Rwanda, Uganda, Tanzania, South Africa, Lesotho, Tunisia, Algeria and Morocco, and a newly launched International Zone, that puts all the old country pavilions into one area.
