Taztag, a French company specialist in contactless technology, has announced its participation at GITEX 2012.

Taztag will present a range of products for the deployment of new applications based on an association of short range communication (NFC) mid-Range communication (Zigbee with range management system), secure element and cryptography, and biometric control.

The company will demonstrate three devices that use natural security technology to enable authentication for both payment and non-payment secure transactions. The products are designed for a range of customers including service providers, banks and shops.

A battery-powered personal device stores a user's biometric data and a biometric reader communicates with the personal device to conduct and authenticate transactions. The biometric and contactless reader comes in two versions: a personal reader for home use that can be connected to a PC and a second version for use in commercial situations such as shops and banks. Taztag provides a software development kit with the solutions to allow partners to develop vertical applications.
