Emerson Network Power seeks to recruit partners Lambrecht says the regional channel poses a major opportunity for Emerson to aggressively penetrate the market.

Emerson Network Power, a provider of power, precision cooling, connectivity and embedded solutions for the data centre, has revealed that it will start recruiting channel partners in the Middle East region.

The move, says the vendor, is part of its wider initiative that will also see it launch the Innovation Partnership Program in the Middle East.

Peter Lambrecht, vice president, Sales IT and Finance Segment for Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) at Emerson Network Power, said the Innovation Partnership Program has been running in the US for some years now with great success. Lambrecht said Emerson is planning to run a number of promotions and attractive initiatives for the region's reseller base. "We are investing a large amount of resources in the IT channel launch. We are committed to supporting the resellers with product training, as well as application and technical support all from within the region," he said.

Lambrecht explained that the company will begin an important reseller acquisition process that will last six to 12 months. "During this time frame, we will also launch our channel programme in the region to ensure we engage with the right partners," he said.

He added that for Emerson, the Middle East is a very important market. "Our network power business has been a leading player in the precision cooling and AC power markets in the region for more than 25 years," he said.

He pointed out that Emerson has built up a strong partnership through its distribution network and has been a major player in the medium and large data centre infrastructure market.

Lambrecht said the Middle East IT channel poses a major opportunity for Emerson Network Power to aggressively enter the market. "The careful selection of major players in the market as partners, coupled with our technically advanced products, quality and having the right distribution channels and support will see Emerson Network Power achieve double digit growth over the next five years," he explained.

He added that channel partners can expect Emerson Network Power to take a determined approach in pursuing the SMB space by offering a portfolio of products and services, supported by a great marketing campaign and dedicated resources to educate the partners across the region.
