Cannon Technologies, a global provider of data centre infrastructure and solutions, has expanded its business in the Middle East after it appointed Cerebra Middle East as its value-added distributor for the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.

Under the accord, Cerebra Middle East will supply the regional channel with Cannon's entire data centre infrastructure and solutions.

James Coughlan, director, Cannon Technologies Middle East said: "Over the past few years, Cannon has established itself as a one of the leading solutions provider globally and in the Middle East region for T4 data centre solutions."

Coughlan said the increased demand for data centre infrastructure and solutions in the region required Cannon to adopt new business models to drive market transition and deliver optimum value to the customer base. "We realised this relationship with Cerebra Middle East will not only help reinforce Cannon's commitment to the region, but also aid in delivering enhanced value to its larger partner community," he said.

Asit Ahuja, director and CEO at Cerebra Middle East added that: "This alliance is an assured success since Cerebra's product portfolio is data centre centric and Cannon has an impressive portfolio of data centre infrastructure solutions, catering to both SMB and enterprise class customers."

Ahuja said Cerebra's wide regional presence, with solid channel growth, would certainly help Cannon expand its footprint into the Middle East. "Cannon products are a natural fit for our growing solution portfolio, and being focused in the data centre technology space, we see an opportunity for Cannon products being an integral part all of the solutions that we offer with our other vendors as well.

He added that from a Cerebra Middle East's perspective, this partnership will certainly enhance the capability to provide a more complete range of data centre solutions and services to the regional channel partners and customers.
