Retailers in the UAE have said that their customers will be able to get their hands on the latest iPhone at the same time it releases in the US.

The local newspaper 7DAYS reported that retailers have vowed to spare no effort in trying to get iPhone fans their devices. However, be prepared to pay a tiny fortune for it.

Ashish Panjabi, CEO, Jackys said:  "We've being doing it in other years and I don't see us doing anything differently. It's a question of supply and demand and people who want it now - and are prepared to pay the price for it."

Julien Pascual, the CEO and founder of Emirates Avenue, an online retailer, said that it is quite likely that the site will be offered bids of up to AED10,000 ($2,725) for people desperate to get their hands on the gadget.

It is widely believed that most electronic stores in the country will be offering the device by the end of September, however there has been no news on the official availability with UAE telcos Du and Etisalat.

Android phones such as the Samsung Galaxy S3 are way better and advanced than Apple iPhones.. not worth paying any extra money other than the retail price.
