Cannon Technologies has announced several new enhancements to its T4 Data Center Manager (T4 DCM) software suite.

The software allows organisations to control the configuration of all of their data centres, power usage, security access, environmental control and fire suppression systems from a single suite of dedicated software.

The new version includes a single monitoring bar which indicates the status of all data centres being monitored by a NOC, to provide an instant indication of any out-of-operating-window or out-of-tolerance situation, with the ability to identify the problem data centre, and then problem rack and full details of the alarm conditions with just a simple mouse click.

Admins are now able to create groups in the T4 DCM for different assets, with assets assignable to multiple groups for different administration purposes.

The solution includes granular security, to give access to the full set of information from data centre infrastructure management (DCIM) systems only to fully authorised users, and granular groupings, so that a multi-site customer can have access on a global view basis to all of their relevant operational information in any groupings they want - but with confidence that no competitors can see their commercially sensitive statistics at any of the controlled data centres worldwide.

T4 DCM now includes predictive configuration, to make it quicker and easier to carry out configuration tasks, and smart actions, to automatically administer equipment based on SNMP commands.
