Du has introduced 100Mbps home broadband in Dubai, and says it is available to most customers in the region.

Customers of its Talk & Surf, Surf & Watch package can upgrade to Du's latest 100Mbps download speed and upload speed of 10Mbps. A few customers are not eligible for Du's new offering because of infrastructure restrictions inside their building.

"This is our fastest internet yet, offering a never before broadband user experience. With a download speed up to 100 Mbps on tap, it offers the capability for multiple family members to enjoy unrivalled speeds simultaneously, no matter what their requirements," said Farid Faraidooni, COO, Du.

"Our Real Broadband packages are already very popular with our customers for the value they offer, and with Real Home Broadband 100 Mbps, customers in the UAE can now avail speeds that are available in only a few other countries," he continued.

Pricing for the ‘Real Home Broadband Premium' starts at AED 999.

Sorry - I disagree. I currently subscribe to DU's 24mbps internet access which is pretty useless when compared to Etisalat's internet speed rated less than 1/3rd the same speed. Complains to DU simply come back with a - "we have checked and found the line to be ok" response.

Perhaps DU needs to subscribe to Etisalat internet speeds running on fibreoptic cables to understand how far behind they are.
