EMC expands Mohammed Amin’s role
Amin now leads EMC's TEAM region and Eastern Europe
EMC Corporation has revealed that Mohammed Amin, its senior vice president and regional manager currently responsible for the company's sales efforts in Turkey, Emerging Africa and the Middle East (TEAM), will now also oversee the fast-growing region of Eastern Europe excluding Russia.
Amin, who is based at the vendor's Dubai regional headquarters, will report directly to Adrian McDonald, EMC's president for the EMEA geography.
Amin, a 25-year veteran of the IT industry, has driven exponential growth in the Middle East region during his 10 year tenure with EMC. Under his leadership, EMC has successfully driven its mission to help customers in the TEAM geography to accelerate their journey to the cloud and capitalise on the massive opportunity that cloud and ‘big data' represent.
McDonald said: "Over the last several years, Mohammed has led one of EMC's fastest-growing regions and executed flawlessly, and I am delighted to entrust him with this expanded role of overseeing our sales initiatives in Eastern Europe. We are fortunate to have a very seasoned team of leaders in EMEA who know the markets, their cultures and our customers. The new leadership structure is being implemented to drive EMC's next major phase of growth."
Amin added that: "It is an honour to assume responsibility for EMC's operations in the dynamic Eastern European market. Customers today are looking to EMC to help them transform their IT to be the core enabler that will equip them to grow and compete successfully in today's tough markets. That is a responsibility we continue to take seriously and I look forward to bringing the EMC value to customers across the expanded region over the months ahead."
