Windows RT will run a scaled down version of the Office 2013 productivity suite.

According to industry sources, Office 2013 on Windows RT will not support macros, third party add-ins and will drop support for Visual basic for Applications.

Dubbed as the preview version, the changes are said to be for the sake of battery life and application reliability. Users can still purchase the full version of the suite if they want to.

It appears that Office 2013 has only been scaled down on tablets running Windows RT. Surface tablets running Windows 8 should include the full software.
